MEET GUIDELINES
GIRLS TEAM

Levels 4, 5, & 6 are considered Compulsory team and Level 7, 8, 9, & 10 constitute the Optional team. Compulsory and Optional teams travel to local and out of state competitions. Assessment fees pay for athlete meet entries as well as fees for coaches. The Booster Club supplements the remaining fees that the assessment fees do not cover for the season. Below is a list of expectations for all gymnasts attending a meet.

All fees must be up to date (Tuition and Assessments) for your Gymnast to compete

  • Gymnasts should arrive at Meets 15 minutes prior to ‘warm-up’ time or at the designated ‘check-in’ time that will be included in most of the meet information.
  • Arrive at the Meet wearing warm-ups & leotard. Many gyms do not have enough space for all the girls to change prior to warm-ups.
  • Gym Bags should be brought to all Meets and contain the following
    • A water bottle (please be sure the top is secure to prevent leaks – NO JUICE),
    • A nutritious snack (crackers, fruit, raisins, energy bar)
    • Grips
    • A copy of Floor Routine Music (for optional athletes).
  • Parents are not allowed on the competition floor and should never approach a judge regarding scoring. Questions about your child’s performance at the meet should only be directed toward the coaches of your child and should take place at the conclusion of awards.
  • Gymnasts are to remain with their coach at all times. USA gymnastics does not allow athletes going to the stands before the conclusion of awards.
  • Check with coach regarding how hair should be worn for Meet
  • USA gymnastics does not allow nail polish or jewelry. One set of studs may be worn in ears.
  • Please be aware that flashed scores are not official scores. Check with the coach at the end of the awards if you have a question about a flashed score.
**Out of respect for other Teams, all gymnasts MUST stay until the last award is given
